Waltons Jewellers to close imminently

Owners of historic retailer Waltons Jewellers, Wrexham, have announced the imminent closure of the store. 

The end of the memorable era will be heralded by a final,sparkling closing-down sale starting on Saturday 29th January at 10am. All jewellery stock will be reduced by 50% including diamond pieces, gold and gemstone jewellery.

The iconic Waltons Wrexham store, known as one of North Wales’ finest jewellers, is the third and final Waltons store to cease trading. Waltons Jewellers was founded by Bertram Walton in 1909, with the first location to open at Chester’s recognisable Cross. In 1917 a second branch was launched on Chester’s Eastgate, and the Wrexham store opened for business in 1935.

With a reputation for premium quality jewellery and impeccable customer service, generations of shoppers have headed to Waltons Jewellers. The award-winning Walton’s team has maintained an enviable reputation for selecting the finest jewellery, gemstones, diamonds, and luxury Swiss watches from across the world to bring to its clientele. The much-loved business has remained the go-to jewellers for significant pieces and future heirlooms, which will undoubtedly be passed down through families for generations to come.

Waltons Managing Director, Richard Hogben has worked for the business since 1986, including a stint as manager of the Wrexham store. Said Richard:

“On behalf of the Waltons’ team, I can say that it’s been an absolute privilege and a pleasure to be part of the lives of so many wonderful patrons over the years. Of course, the closure of this final Waltons branch has come as a shock to many of our loyal customers. We hope that our fabulous closing down sale will offer an opportunity for shoppers to head in and select one last Waltons piece. And of course, we look forward to saying our last goodbyes to customers old and new over the next few weeks, before we close the Founder, Bertram Walton Waltons first store opened in Chester, at The Cross, in 1929. doors of our Wrexham store for the final time.”

Waltons Jewellers is hosting a remarkable closing down sale. Over £2 million worth of discounted jewellery will be available in the final weeks of trading. Shoppers can make a special purchase from the store’s top-quality jewellery, which will be reduced by 50%, including engagement rings, gemstone pieces, diamonds, necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings.

The sale launches at 10am on Saturday 29th January and items will be sold on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
